
Rochester, MN - The RCTC Yellowjackets got 6 first half goals and cruised to a 10-0 win over NDSCS on Saturday afternoon at the Regional Stadium. The win moves RCTC to 2-2 on the season and 1-0 in the MCAC.
RCTC got on the board early as Becca Cook got her first of four goals just two minutes into the game off of a feed from Mila Van der Velde. Lilly Farrand found the back of the net just five minutes later, before Cook scored her second of the game just a minute after Farrand. Van der Velde then took over the scoring finding the goal in both the 12th and 30th minute to give RCTC a 6-0 advantage heading into the break.
Van der Velde then scored her third of the game giving her a second hat trick on the season in the 53rd minute. Cook got her third and fouth goals shortly after in the 60th and 64th minutes. Emma Nelson had a fantastic assist on Cook's goal in the 60th minute. In the 68th minute Rochester Mayo's Milayna Zweiner netted her first collegiate goal to give the Jackets the 10-0 victory. Miley Dostal earned her second shutout of the season in net.
RCTC is back in action on Wednesday as the step out of conference play to host NIACC at 6:00pm.
