Rochester Community and Technical College picked-up a solid 2–0 win over Dakota County Technical College on October 13, showcasing a balanced attack and solid defensive effort. The Yellowjackets struck first in the 31st minute when Becca Cook found the back of the net off a well-placed assist from Lilly Farrand. RCTC sealed the win late in the second half, with Milla Van Der Velde scoring in the 84th minute, assisted on a perfect cross into the box by Emma Scheppmann.

RCTC controlled the game offensively, outshooting DCTC 17–9, including 11 shots on goal. Becca Cook led the charge with 8 shots, 4 on target, and a goal. Van Der Velde added 3 shots and 2 on goal, while Farrand and Scheppmann each contributed key assists. The Yellowjackets also earned 6 corner kicks, maintaining pressure throughout both halves.

On the defensive end, goalkeeper Miley Dostal was solid in net, recording 4 saves and preserving the clean sheet. RCTC’s back line held DCTC to just 4 shots on goal, with Samantha Grosnick posing the only consistent threat for the Blue Knights.

DCTC’s goalkeeper Emma Riley kept her team in the match with 9 saves, but the Yellowjackets’ persistent attack proved too much.

With this win, RCTC is now 9-3-1 overall.  The Jackets will take on the JV of Saint Mary's University on Wednesday night, and follow that up with their last regular season conference ontest against Alexandria on Saturday afternoon.
