Jackets roll to Region Soccer title

Rochester, MN - The RCTC Yellowjacket women's soccer team got 4 goals from Lilly Farrand and 5 points (2 goals and 3 assists) from Kaylee Narveson as they rolled to a 7-2 win in the Region XIII Championship game on Saturday.  The Jackets down Anoka-Ramsey for the third time this season to earn a berth in the District Tournament in Michigan next weekend.

RCTC lead 2-1 at the half on goals by Narveson and Farrand, before blowing things open in the second half.  Farrand scored in both the 55th, 60th, and 68th minute while Barveson added her second of the day in the 70th minute to give RCTC a 6-1 lead.  Mila Van Der Velde made it 7-2 with a goal in the 80th minute to seal the win.

The #6 ranked Yellowjackets (8-2-1 overall) will now travel to Michigan for the District Soccer Smifinals on November 1st.
