
Rochester, MN - The RCTC Yellowjacket women got out to a 34-2 lead after the first quarter enroute to a 111-17 win over Mn North - Vermilion on the Performance Court. The win moved the Jackets to 7-3 on the season. RCTC had seven players score in double-figures, lead by Allana Bates with 18. Macaya Copeland and Nyomi Chrushshon added 17 each, while Marianna Frnaklin and Ivette Mendoza eachpured in 16. Makadyn Gust added 12, while Jaide Pressely pitched in 10.
Bates had a double-double as she lead all players with 12 rebounds. The Jackets shot 49% from the floor including 14-41 from three-point range, while holding Vermilion to 14% shooting and only 1-14 from beyond the arc. RCTC forced 39 turnovers including 26 steals in the game. Gust lead the Jackets with 5 steals, while Mendoza and Bates each had 4. Aniyah Reuben lead all players with 8 assists.
The #1 ranked Jackets are back in action on Friday, December 20th as they take on Joliet Community College at Anoka-Ramsey.
