RCTC women lock up share of MCAC South Title with 64-53 win over Anoka-Ramsey

Rochester, MN - The #1 ranked RCTC Yellowjackets locked up a share of the MCAC Southern Division title with a 64-53 win over #5 ranked Anoka-Ramsey. The Jackets trailed 29-23 at the half but outscored the Golden Rams 41-24 in the second half to earn the win.

RCTC was lead by Macaya Copeland with 17 points and Aniyah Reuben with 12.  Allana Bates had a big game for the Jackets with 10 points, 5 assists, 5 steals, and a block, while Cassidy Shute had 9 points and 10 rebounds.  Jaide Pressley added 10 rebounds of her own for the Jackets. 

RCTC forced 19 Ram turnovers, and held them to 32% shooting for the game. The Jackets also had 14 steals and outrebounded Anoka 42-36.

The Jackets will next play in the Region Tournament at Northland College in Thief River Falls next weekend. A coin toss on Sunday will determine the top seed as #1 RCTC split a pair of games with #2 ranked MN West.
