#1 Jackets fall to MN West 64-60 on the road

Worthington, MN - Despite forcing 25 turnovers and having 32 more shot attempts the RCTC Yellowjacket women's basketball team fell to the Lady Jays of MN West 64-60 on Wednesday night.  The #1 Jackets are now 13-4 on the season while the #3 ranked Lady Jays are 11-8.  

RCTC got a team high 14 points from Kara Goetzinger and 13 points from off the bench for Allana Bates.  Joining the pair in double figures for the Jackets were Macaya Copeland (11) and Cassidy Shute (10).  Aniyah Reuben lead all the Jackets with 9 rebounds while Goetzinger added 7 and Nyomi Crushshon had 6.  Katrina Schultz lead MN West with 23 points.

The Jackets, thanks in large part to forcing 25 Lady Jay turnovers had 75 shots to MN West's 43.  Unfortunately for RCTC they shot only 29% from the floor in the game while MN West hit 41%.  RCTC shot 90% from the free throw line (9-10) however MN West was 20-24 from the line, outscoring RCTC by 15 at the charity stripe.

RCTC is right back in action on Saturday, January 25th as they host MN State - Fergus Falls at 1:00pm.
