Matteo Finocchi joined the RCTC Baseball Coaching staff as the pitching coach during the 2024 season.
His coaching career began at Lourdes H.S in Rochester, MN as the pitching coach for the varsity team during the 2022 season. He helped lead the team to a 3rd place finish in the State Tournament. His pitching staff had a 1.95 ERA, a 1.2 WHIP, a .191 BAA. He also coached with the Rochester Honkers of the prestigious Northwoods Collegiate Summer Baseball League during the summer 2023 season as the assistant pitching coach.
He played baseball at Division II Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, New York. In his years at Mercy, he ranks 7th in school history in career appearances with 54, and 2nd in appearances in a single season with 25.
