Brainerd, MN - The RCTC Yellowjacekts returned to conference play taking on the Raiders of Central Lakes Community College on Saturday and came away with a convincing 45-13 win. The Jackets, 2-2 overall and 2-0 in the MCAC. RCTC had 463 yards of total offense in the game including 387 yards in the air. The Jacket defense had 14 sacks in the game as well as an interception.
Quarterback Dylan Curry was 20-30 for 377 yards and four touchdowns on the day. Curry hit Tony Edwards III for a 78 yard strike, while also throwing TD passes to Jaylen Williams, Luke Sigler, and Cam Miller. Edwards III had 4 catches for 154 yards and the TD. Williams also caught 4 balls for 64 yards, while Sigler had 3 catches for 50 yards. Cole Thompson picked up 3 receptions for 43 yards.
On the defenisive side of the ball Trei Ginn had 10 tackles and 5 sacks for the Jackets. Jahquii Roberts had 7 tackles, a sack, and an interception. Jakobe Everett also picked up 7 tackles. Jarod Anderson had 3 sacks, while Carter Ellis and Zander Jacobson each picked up a pair of sacks. Noah Courington had a single sack to give the Jackets 14 on the day.
RCTC is now set to return home for HOMECOMING on Saturday. The Jackets will take on MN North-Mesabi Range on Saturday, the 21st. Kickoff is set for 2:00pm.
